2. What data

Searches: the place, dates, times and driver's age you enter.

Clicks on an offer: which offer you open and from which page, for our statistics and to settle commissions with the partner.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and the pages you view, to run the site, keep it secure and prevent misuse.

We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details: you only give them on the partner's site, if you book.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Providing the service: showing the offers you are looking for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Keeping the site secure, preventing misuse and settling commissions with the partner (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Statistics on how the site is used, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

4. Who receives the data

Our hosting provider, with servers in Frankfurt (EU), and Cloudflare, which protects the site and makes it faster.

With your consent: our statistics service.

When you click «View offer»: the affiliate network CJ and the partner's site. The link only contains your search details (place, dates, times, age); from then on their privacy policies apply.

Some of these services may process data outside the EU. This happens under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long

Technical data and clicks: no longer than needed for security and to settle commissions.

Statistics: up to 24 months.

6. Cookies

Essential, always on: the language you choose (NEXT_LOCALE cookie, 1 year) and your cookie choice (stored in your browser).

Statistics, only with your consent: an anonymous session code to measure how the site is used.

No advertising cookies on smartrents.eu. The partner's site and the affiliate network use their own cookies.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies and stored data in your browser: the banner will then appear again.

7. Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, object to its processing and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at [email protected].
