Medieval city: only inside marked bays
In the medieval city (Middelalderbyen) cars may only park in bays marked with white lines or road studs, and many of these are reserved, for example for business vehicles. Loading and unloading is still allowed outside the bays; otherwise use the car parks in the area.

LEZ extended to the Tårnby boundary in 2025
On 1 March 2025 Copenhagen's low-emission zone was extended to the municipal boundary with Tårnby. Diesel passenger cars, Danish or foreign, need a particulate filter or Euro 5 to drive in it, and enforcement is by number-plate cameras.

In the Den Hvide Kødby (Meatpacking District) zone parking is free but limited to one hour from Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00, so set the parking disc.
