The airport's car-hire desks are in the Car Rental Centre at the western end of the airport, about 1.2 km from Terminal 3. You can walk there or take the free Terminal Bus from Terminal 3, which stops right in front of the centre.

Free terminal bus to the Car Rental stop
The free terminal bus links the 'Car Rental, close to P1' stop with Terminals 2 and 3 and the train and metro station at Terminal 3. It runs every 10 minutes from 07:00 to 18:00, every 15 minutes from 04:00 to 07:00 and from 18:00 to 00:00, and every 20 minutes from 00:00 to 04:00.

Return the car opposite the Car Rental Centre
Hire cars are returned, together with the key, in the Car Rental Return area directly opposite the Car Rental Centre. From there a free terminal bus runs to the terminals and to the train and metro.

Free Kiss & Fly; first 15 minutes free in P4
To drop someone off, use the free two-lane Kiss & Fly area close to Terminal 2, where you may only stop briefly. For a longer stop, P4 short-term parking in front of Terminal 2 is free for the first 15 minutes and costs 70 DKK for 16 to 60 minutes.

16 fast chargers up to 360 kW next to P12
A fast-charging station with 16 charging spots of up to 360 kW stands near the roundabout next to car park P12 and is open to non-passengers, which helps when returning an electric hire car charged. Two further DC chargers at the roundabout can be used without paying any parking fee.

Airport and motorway outside the LEZ
Copenhagen Airport and the Øresund Motorway are not part of Copenhagen's low-emission zone. Since 1 March 2025 the zone has reached the municipal boundary with Tårnby, so driving into Copenhagen in a diesel car requires a particulate filter or at least Euro 5.
